Meeting and events

Thank you for considering the Beus Center for Law and Society (BCLS) as the host site for your upcoming event. We are excited to be a part of the Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix campus. The state-of-the-art, 280,000-square-foot facility is designed to increase the public’s understanding of justice through ongoing events and displays.

The BCLS building is home to the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University (ASU Law). Several unique venue options can be tailored to fit the needs of specific event requirements. Please carefully read the following event guidelines and rates to determine if the BCLS is the correct venue.

Guidelines

  1. Event Availability: All events are subject to availability, and external events can only be booked up to five months in advance for the Fall and Spring semesters.
  2. Event Priority: Priority is given to ASU Law events and those hosted by the ASU President’s Office.
  3. Approval Process: Event requests are reviewed and approved by a panel. Space is not guaranteed until approval is given, agreements are signed, and deposits are paid.
  4. Request Deadline: Event requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance. All bookings must go through ASU Law Event Coordinators.
  5. Legal Focus Priority: Priority will be given to events with a legal focus that engage the legal community, students, and alumni.
  6. Weekend Events: The Beus Center for Law and Society (BCLS) is closed on weekends. Additional approvals are required for weekend events, and weekend rates will apply if approved.
  7. Student Scheduling Restrictions: Third-party events cannot be scheduled during student reading days or finals. These dates typically occur in the first two weeks of December, the last two weeks of April, and the first two weeks of May. No exceptions.
  8. Conferences: Conferences longer than one day or requiring breakout rooms will only be accommodated during fall, winter, or spring breaks, or during times of minimal student presence.
  9. Event Disruptions: BCLS reserves the right to cancel any event that disrupts student learning, impedes building usage, or involves illegal activity.
  10. Prohibited Sales: Selling goods or services on BCLS property is prohibited. Speak with your event coordinator if you have plans to sell goods. Violating this policy will result in the immediate cancellation of the event.
  11. Questions: For questions about our facilities and policies, refer to our FAQ page or contact the ASU Law events team at law.events@asu.edu.
