Services and pricing

Please complete the Beus Center for Law and Society Event Request Form and submit at least 30 days prior to the requested date. Priority for scheduling will be given to the BCLS and associated building occupants. Other ASU Colleges/Departments and Third Party Organizations may book event spaces based on the following academic calendar:

Event date falls within Spring (January – May): Available to book October prior

Event date falls within Summer (June – August): Available to book April prior

Event date falls within Fall (September – December): Available to book July prior

Services

Regarding payment

  • If you are an ASU Affiliate, please provide the workday information for the department you would like to charge.
  • All external groups must pay by check made payable to Arizona State University with attn: Events Administration. Please send this check to 111 E Taylor St. Phoenix, AZ 85004 prior to your event, or give it to your coordinator the day of the event.
  • We do not take credit card payments.
 

Onsite event management

ASU Law offers a full range of event services, as well as, onsite Event Coordinators that are available to assist with needs to ensure event success. Event Coordinators are experienced at planning and managing a wide range of activities and can help navigate through building issues, fire and safety guidelines, permitting, power sources, and provide assistance with lighting, computers and more.

 

Facilities and rates

The BCLS boasts multiple lecture hall spaces, conference rooms, a multipurpose conference space and a large, public lecture space. All spaces are subject to availability and rates vary. Please see the rate card below for more information and contact your event coordinator for specific questions:

“These rates apply to not-for-profit entities or other entities that are not generating any revenue from use of the college facilities. For those for-profit entities that are generating revenue from use of the college’s facilities, the rates are presumptively at minimum twice the rates posted above and may require special negotiation”.

SignageWe have twelve 11”x17” signage holders available which can be used for directions subject to availability.
No signage can be taped or attached to BCLS structures. Signage should be independent and on easels, or stand-alone banners. No signage is allowed outside of the reserved event space, including the doors leading into the event space, without prior approval.

Parking codes

We have a maximum of six (6) parking codes for our underground parking garage per day. However, these are shared amongst everyone at the law school and are offered on a first come first serve basis.

  • You cannot save a spot without a first and last name for each individual or the name of a company (bartender service, rental service, etc).

Please save these parking codes for people who have disabilities, guest speakers, or rented services.

Event equipment

Audio/Visual

A variety of audio/visual needs can be accommodated in the BCLS depending on the space being utilized. If you are interested in any of the law school screens, please email law.marcomm@asu.edu for inquiries.

Please work with your event coordinator regarding specific audio/visual needs. BCLS does not accommodate video recording or live streaming of third party organization or ASU affiliated events. If other requests exceed the basic capacity of the booked room, third party audio/visual suppliers are allowed to provide appropriate accommodations at cost to the hosting organization.  BCLS does not provide extension cords or power strips.

For any audio visual equipment not accommodated by the BCLS, additional items may be rented through an external vendor.
